The National Infant and Toddler Child Care Initiative at ZERO TO THREE recently published a fact sheet entitled Keys to High-Quality Child Care for Infants and Toddlers (2010). It describes common elements found in the core knowledge and competencies (CKC) for early care and education professionals in 36 States, including special considerations for children with special needs and cultural diversity. This program offers leaders in the early childhood community the opportunity to gain first-hand experiences and a national perspective on public policy making, the Administration for Children and Families, and other Federal agencies serving children and families. - Child Care Research Scholars
