Based on needs identified by the state Section 619 Coordinators, four calls are being offered in 2009. The goals of this conference call series are:
- Enhancing communication and coordination among state and local administrators of Head Start, Child Care, State Pre-K and other early childhood programs to support inclusive practices.
- Developing a coordinated system of professional development to ensure that community-based programs are prepared to serve young children with disabilities
- Ensuring that local preschool special education administrators receive adequate information and training to support coordinated inclusive early childhood services that meet the federal LRE requirements
